Vista Innovative Solutions, LLC is seeking a Web Software Developer to join our growing team in Ft. Gregg-Adams, VA.
The Web Software Developer supports the development, deployment, and maintenance of web-based applications and services in a SAAS (Software as a Service) environment. This role is responsible for building secure, scalable, and standards-compliant web software solutions that meet operational requirements and functional specifications.
What You'll Do:
- Design, code, test, and maintain web applications using modern web technologies and frameworks in alignment with Agile methodologies.
- Collaborate with UI/UX designers, product owners, and system engineers to ensure seamless integration of front-end and back-end components.
- Ensure applications adhere to 508 compliance and government security standards, including FISMA, NIST, and FedRAMP.
- Implement web-based APIs and data exchange mechanisms to facilitate interoperability between system components and external services.
- Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and daily stand-ups as part of an Agile development team.
- Conduct code reviews and participate in quality assurance testing, including automated test development.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing software with a focus on performance, security, and user experience.
- Document software design, functionality, and interfaces according to established policies and procedures.
What You Bring:
- Proficiency in programming languages such as JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and one or more frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
- Experience with back-end development using technologies like Node.js, .NET, Java, or Python.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, containerization (e.g., Docker), and cloud-native development practices.
- Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases and web security principles.
- Understanding of DevSecOps practices and automated testing approaches.
- Ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced, and iterative development environment.
