We are looking for a skilled and innovative Microsoft Azure SDN Solutions Architect/Engineer to lead the design and implementation of advanced Software Defined Networking (SDN) solutions using Azure technologies in a managed services provider environment. In this role, you will play a critical part in transforming traditional networking into dynamic, policy-driven cloud-based infrastructures across enterprise-scale workloads and hybrid deployments.

Key Responsibilities:

· Experience in deployment and support for SDN & Multi-Site layer 2 and layer 3 connectivity across different physical locations and multi-tenant networking

· Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) experience setting up and supporting virtual desktop infrastructure to multiple customers within a single Azure local environment

· Architect and deploy Software Defined Networking components within Microsoft Azure, including Azure Virtual Network (VNet), Virtual WAN, ExpressRoute, NVAs, and Azure Firewall.

· Lead the implementation of Azure Network Fabric, enabling scalable Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking through centralized control, policy-driven provisioning, and high-performance isolation.

· Develop and enforce SDN policies that simplify operations and enhance security using microsegmentation, QoS, and traffic engineering principles.

· Integrate tenant isolation, broadcast domain segmentation, and route filtering into hybrid or multi-tenant environments using BGP and network overlays.

· Design solutions using programmable network infrastructure for dynamic workloads and zero-trust architectures.

· Build Infrastructure as Code (IaC) templates using Bicep, Terraform, or ARM to automate provisioning of SDN components and maintain configuration consistency.

· Provide troubleshooting and performance optimization for virtual networks, gateways, peering, private endpoints, and service chaining.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate SDN with compute, storage, and identity services.

· Stay current with Microsoft’s evolving SDN platform, including new capabilities around Azure Stack HCI, hybrid SDN gateway, and intent-based networking models.

Required Qualifications:

· 5+ years of professional experience in network engineering, with at least 2 years focused on Azure SDN architecture and deployment.

· Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert

· Proven expertise with Azure networking features such as VNet, UDRs, NSGs, ASGs, Application Gateway, and Virtual WAN.

· Strong understanding of Software Defined Networking principles, including centralized control plane, network abstraction, and decoupled forwarding.

· Familiarity with Azure’s programmable control model supporting dynamic policy application and tenant network isolation.

· Hands-on experience with ExpressRoute, VPN Gateway, BGP routing, and network segmentation in cloud environments.

· Proficient in writing Infrastructure as Code using tools like Terraform, ARM, or Bicep.

· Experience in performance tuning and diagnostics with Azure Monitor and Network Watcher.

· Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert

Preferred Skills:

· Background in enterprise or service provider networking with deep familiarity in IP networking, MPLS, VXLAN, and EVPN.

· Experience deploying third-party NVAs in Azure such as Palo Alto, Fortinet, or Cisco.

· Familiarity with SDN in Azure Stack HCI and hybrid infrastructure solutions.

· Understanding of Zero Trust Networking principles and secure cloud connectivity models.

· Network automation using PowerShell, Python, or Ansible.
