Job Title: Software Engineer – Agentic AI / Data Cloud (Python/Go)

Role Overview
We are seeking experienced Software Engineers to work on building and scaling tools for next-generation AI-powered data systems as part of an Agentic Data Cloud initiative. This role involves enhancing AI-assisted developer workflows and expanding platform capabilities across the Data Cloud ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and enhance MCP tools across proprietary and open-source environments
- Expand test coverage for tools used by AI coding assistants (e.g., Gemini CLI, Claude Code)
- Refactor, maintain, and improve existing codebases and testing frameworks
- Convert technical blogs into production-ready code samples and documentation
- Develop real-world data applications (e.g., QueryData) for R&D and experimentation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to accelerate adoption of agentic AI capabilities
Required Qualifications
- 4–8 years of professional software engineering experience
- Strong proficiency in Python or Go (experience with both is preferred)
- Solid experience with SQL (minimum intermediate level)
- Prior experience working in Google3 or similar Google engineering environments
- Experience building or contributing to agentic AI systems
- Hands-on experience with AI coding tools such as Claude Code and Gemini CLI
- Strong coding, testing, and debugging skills
- Good technical writing and documentation abilities
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience contributing to open-source projects (e.g., GitHub)
- Advanced SQL expertise

Pay: $50.00 - $70.00 per hour
