Senior AI Engineer - New Resources Consulting

Summary: New Resources Consulting is looking for a hands-on AI Engineer to join our growing AI Practice. In this client-facing role, you’ll work closely with business leaders and technical teams to understand challenges and build practical AI solutions. You’ll partner with our AI Practice Director and other team members to design, develop, and deploy AI projects, primarily using Microsoft Azure to take ideas from planning to production.

We’re looking for someone with strong software development skills and a solid understanding of machine learning. You should be comfortable working directly with clients, translating business problems into technical solutions, and staying hands-on throughout both the development and deployment of AI systems.

This role is primarily remote but will require occasional on-site visits in the Greater Milwaukee area, about once per quarter.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.
• Experience building and implementing AI solutions, including developing and deploying models into production.
• Proven client-facing experience, engaging stakeholders to understand business needs and define technical solutions.
• Hands-on software development experience, building scalable applications and integrating AI into production systems.
• Strong programming skills in Python and/or C#.
• Understanding of machine learning concepts, algorithms, and deployment strategies.
• Experience deploying AI solutions on Azure, including:
  • Azure Cognitive Search
  • Azure Machine Learning
  • Azure Functions and Logic Apps
• Familiarity with Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Large Language Models (LLMs).
• Experience with MLOps, version control systems (Azure DevOps, GitHub), and Agile development practices.
• Knowledge of ML frameworks such as LangChain, SciKit-Learn, and Weights & Biases.
• Strong communication skills to clearly explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
