Job Summary
As a Barista at our café, you will be responsible for crafting delicious coffee beverages and providing exceptional customer service to our guests. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about coffee and creating a welcoming atmosphere for customers.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks following recipes with precision
- Operate espresso machines and other equipment in a safe and efficient manner
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café, including the service area and seating areas
- Take customer orders accurately and process payments using POS systems
- Provide friendly and attentive customer service, addressing customer inquiries and concerns promptly
- Upsell products and promote specials to enhance the customer experience
- Assist in restocking inventory and monitoring supplies to ensure availability
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a café or food service environment is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and espresso preparation
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Familiarity with retail math concepts for handling transactions accurately
- Proficiency in using POS systems for order processing
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively
