About this Role

We are seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer (SDE II) to join our engineering team in Portland, OR. This is a senior-level, hands-on role focused on building secure, high-quality web applications across the full stack.

You will work closely with product, design, and engineering peers to enhance existing systems and deliver new capabilities, with a strong emphasis on security, maintainability, and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

· Design, develop, and maintain full-stack web applications using modern technologies.

· Build and maintain secure, scalable REST APIs, including authentication and authorization.

· Develop responsive and maintainable user interfaces using React.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.

· Write clean, well-structured code with a strong emphasis on Test Driven Development.

· Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering standards and best practices.

· Identify and resolve performance, reliability, and security issues.

· Clearly communicate technical risks, tradeoffs, and timelines.

Required Qualifications:

· 5+ years of professional software development experience building and maintaining production systems.

· Strong expertise in C# and .NET (ASP.NET Core).

· Hands-on experience with Entity Framework for data access and persistence.

· Production experience with React for front-end development (required).

· Strong experience with MS SQL Server, including schema design and query optimization.

· Demonstrated experience developing secure APIs, including authentication and authorization.

· Experience supporting applications in both on-premise and cloud environments.

· Proven unit testing experience, with a focus on code quality and long-term maintainability.

· Proficiency with Git and experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.

· Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Nice to Have:

· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.

· Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

· Background in security-focused products, PKI, or regulated environments.

o This is a full-time position located in Portland, OR. Typical days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, between 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. or as scheduled with the employee’s supervisor.

Pay: $130,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
