We are seeking a hands-on, highly experienced Director of IT to lead our global IT network environment. This role requires deep technical expertise, strong leadership, and a strategic mindset to ensure our systems operate with the highest standards of availability, security, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, operate, and optimize secure enterprise networks supporting device data, remote monitoring, clinical operations, and cloud-based platforms.
- Drive automation and infrastructure-as-code initiatives (Python, Ansible, Terraform) to improve efficiency, reliability, and compliance.
- Implement monitoring and observability systems (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, SNMP, Splunk) to proactively detect and resolve network issues.
- Lead and grow the Network Operations function, including 24/7 global support, uptime monitoring, and SLA adherence.
- Build and mentor a high-performing team of network engineers and operations professionals.
- Define and execute operational strategy, KPIs, and SOPs that align with regulatory requirements (FDA, ISO 13485, HIPAA).
- Partner with all functions of the organization; R&D, Logistics, Sales, etc to make sure that ERP and partners are delivering appropriately
- Manage vendor relationships, evaluate third-party solutions, and oversee service provider performance and contracts.
- Serve as the final escalation point for critical infrastructure incidents and lead post-mortem and RCA processes.
- Ensure robust cybersecurity and compliance posture across all systems.
- Be hands-on and able to lead this growing company with small number of internal resources, but robust external partners.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in enterprise network operations/engineering, with 5+ years in leadership roles.
- Proven expertise in routing, switching, firewalls, and enterprise IP networks (BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VXLAN).
- Strong knowledge of cloud networking and hybrid environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Familiarity with cybersecurity regulations is a strong plus.
- Experience building or managing validated systems in a regulated environment (FDA, IEC 62304, ISO 27001, etc.).
- Advanced certifications (CCIE, JNCIE, CISSP) are a plus, but hands-on skills and leadership are key.

Compensation – 150,000 USD – 170,000 USD + Bonus + Equity
On-site time required.
