A leading global energy company is currently seeking an IT and General Affairs Specialist for its Houston, Texas office.

Job Summary:

The IT and General Affairs Specialist is responsible for ensuring stable IT operations across multiple office locations and supporting daily IT activities—including troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues, and providing technical assistance to employees.

This role collaborates with internal teams and external vendors to maintain secure, efficient systems and office operations.

As the organization continues to grow, this position offers significant opportunity to expand into a full-time, scalable IT support role.

Key Responsibilities:

IT Support (50%) – Help Desk Level 2

  • Provide remote and on-site IT support for multiple office locations, including desktop assistance and help desk functions.
  • Support business systems such as MS365, SAP, Right Angle, and other internal applications.
  • Install, configure, and maintain networks, PCs, printers, mobile devices, and related hardware.
  • Manage IT equipment, including asset tracking, quarterly audits, procurement, and responsible disposal or recycling.
  • Administer user access to internal systems, networks, cloud storage platforms, and websites.
  • Support internal approval and workflow systems.
  • Monitor IT-related issues, communicate updates to employees, stay informed about industry trends, and recommend appropriate actions.
  • Manage onboarding of new employees, including laptop and mobile device setup and system configuration.
  • Collaborate with third-party vendors to troubleshoot and maintain IT infrastructure.
  • Coordinate IT-related offboarding tasks for departing employees.

General Office Support (50%):

  • Provide day-to-day office administration support to ensure a clean, organized, and efficient work environment.
  • Manage office supplies, facilities, and vendor relationships.
  • Support new employee onboarding and workstation setup.
  • Recommend and implement improvements to office procedures and organizational systems.
  • Assist General Affairs, Accounting, and Human Resources with ad-hoc administrative tasks.
  • Greet and assist onsite visitors and guests.

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Strategic, proactive mindset with the ability to work independently and contribute to organizational growth.
  • Ability to learn unfamiliar business systems, understand data workflows, and support system maintenance.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows/Mac OS, Office 365, Google Workspace, and basic network fundamentals (LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi).

  • Excellent communication (verbal and written), interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated integrity, professionalism, and ability to maintain confidentiality.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT support and operations.

  • Work is conducted primarily in an office environment.
  • Occasional minor business travel may be required.
  • Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds as needed.

Location: Houston, TXS

Salary: $65,000~$80,000 annually BOE
