Job description
Job Summary: Oversee the organization’s technology infrastructure and operations, ensuring that computing systems, networks, and data remain operational, secure, and dependable. Interface with other IT teams to complete efforts and improve the information technology eco system within Nifco.
Essential Experience:
· Required Experience
o Proactively maintain our servers and environment to guarantee optimal uptime.
o Institute a patching and upgrade cadence for software and applications.
o Ensure smooth functioning of network infrastructure.
o Research, compare and facilitate the selection process when purchasing and deploying hardware and software.
o Define policies and procedures for data backup and recovery.
o Regularly review and conduct recovery exercises to ensure correct functioning.
o Monitor hardware, software, and network performance.
o Conduct regular security tests and analyze data to identify and resolve potential issues.
o Address security incidents in an increasingly digitized world.
o Serve as a liaison between IT and other parts of the organization.
o Manage budgets, oversee projects, and ensure compliance with regulations and industry standards.
o Manage a responsive operations team and help desk team.
o Provide technical assistance to end-users, troubleshoot issues, and resolve problems promptly.
o Develop and implement IT strategies that align with business needs and objectives.
o Manage network architecture, including LANs, WANs, wireless networks, and cloud networks.
o Creating SOPs and documentation
· Desired Experience
o Experience with Oracle eBusiness Suite, Horizon VDI, Nutanix a bonus
o AWS cloud environment
o Writing scripts
o Manufacturing or Inventory experience
o SQL knowledge
o Project Management
Management experience: 4+ years
· Excellent communication skills
· Energetic individual that will help enhance the IT culture
· Interact with the various departments within Nifco to resolve issues and set priorities
· Manage and adjust priorities for team members
· Develop and set goals for team members
· Assist in the direction of the environment and supporting software
Education:
Degree in Information Technology or related field preferred and 10+ years of relevant experience
Location:
Primary location is Canal Winchester Office.
Other Nifco locations such as Shelbyville, Ky and LaVergne, Tn available.
IT has a hybrid work schedule with up to 2 days per week offsite.
