Job Title: Bookkeeper / Office Manager

Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and dependable professional to serve as our Bookkeeper / Office Manager to support two affiliated companies in the construction industry. This dual-role position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys wearing many hats, and can balance both financial management and office administration. The ideal candidate will bring strong bookkeeping skills, excellent communication, and the ability to keep daily operations running smoothly while ensuring accurate financial oversight.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate financial records, ledgers, and accounts
  • Process accounts payable and receivable transactions
  • Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts
  • Prepare financial reports and support tax preparation
  • Manage payroll processing and employee expense tracking
  • Monitor invoices, payments, and collections
  • Oversee day-to-day office operations and ensure a productive, professional work environment
  • Manage calendars, schedules, and office systems
  • Supervise and support administrative staff, providing training and development as needed
  • Coordinate meetings, events, and vendor services
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting for both office and financial operations
  • Implement HR practices, including recruitment, onboarding, and compliance requirements
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and accounting standards

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Bookkeeper, Office Manager, or in a similar dual-role capacity
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or similar)
  • Strong knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and efficiency
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Associate’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field (preferred)

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
