Responsibilities:

• Provide internal and external customers with excellent service at all times, treating people fairly, consistently, and with respect.
• Follow standard operating procedures in order to meet OSHA, health department, Organic, HAACP, COOL, and other relevant department standards.
• Maintain equipment, storage spaces, work spaces, and retail environment in clean, sanitary, organized, safe, and working order and report issues to the appropriate Manager. Monitor cooler and freezer temperatures and immediately report deviations from established norms.
• Practice knife and equipment safety at all times; including handling, cutting, cleaning, and disposal.
• Prepare in-house deli foods following established recipes and prepare special orders for customer pick-up and delivery. Help create new in-house recipes to offer customers variety.
• Sign for, unload, and process deliveries as necessary and inspect deliveries for damage, expiration dates, and overall quality.
• Follow established systems to ensure proper storage, handling, and backstock-to-shelf rotation of all items, and participate in regular store inventories.
• Ensure all displays are clean, attractive, accurate, and product is abundant, rotated, and faced. Pull short-date, damaged, or low-quality items from displays and make sure displays follow established schematics. Ensure accuracy of price labeling and signage, appropriately reporting discrepancies.
• Perform opening and/or closing procedures including set-up and tear-down of displays, cleaning, and security protocols.

Job Requirements:

· Experience in retail sales and direct customer service experience preferred

· Outstanding customer service skills

· Ability to stand for long periods of time, lift up to 50lbs, reach, bend, and climb

· Willingness to work in coolers and freezers

· Attention to efficiency, detail, and accuracy

· Strong written and verbal communication skills

· Ability to correctly follow recipes.

· Regular, predictable attendance
