Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Regional IT Manager to oversee and support IT operations across multiple Paxton Media Group locations. This role is based in our St. Joseph, MI office, with occasional travel to regional offices and some remote work flexibility. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on problem solver with strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage diverse systems and user needs.

Our IT environment is primarily Mac OS-based, with a smaller number of Windows workstations. The role requires a broad understanding of IT infrastructure, user support, security, and digital tools used in media operations.

Key ResponsibilitiesUser & Account Management

  • Create, modify, and remove user accounts in Exchange, Xpance, BLOX CMS, and Sangoma VOIP systems
  • Manage access to building security systems
  • Support users via our ticketing system (Spiceworks Help Desk)

Hardware & Software Support

  • Diagnose and repair hardware issues; recommend replacements
  • Install and restore operating systems (Mac OS and Windows)
  • Perform file backups and recovery when possible
  • Install remote access and security applications

Web & CMS Administration

  • Update group websites and add special sections or promotional blocks
  • Assist with newsletter setup and layout
  • Collaborate with BLOX and internal teams to resolve CMS and advertising issues
  • Create and modify user forms and site menus
  • Maintain and update Contact, About, and Address pages

VOIP & Telecom Management

  • Configure call forwarding, voicemail-to-email, and automated attendants
  • Reset phone settings for new users
  • Maintain and negotiate AT&T landline contracts

Networking & Infrastructure

  • Install and troubleshoot infrastructure cabling and Wi-Fi networks
  • Work with ISPs to resolve connectivity issues
  • Configure DHCP and manage domain purchases and renewals

Security & Firewall Management

  • Administer and maintain SonicWall firewall devices
  • Implement and monitor IT security protocols across locations

Printers & Copiers

  • Coordinate with printer vendor(USBS) to track usage and reporting
  • Configure scan-to-email, secure print, and other advanced functions

Office 365 & Exchange Administration

  • Set up shared folders and distribution lists
  • Manage quarantine release requests and safe sender lists

Social Media Administration

  • Provide basic support for internal social media accounts and integrations

Reporting & Inventory

  • Compile monthly analytics for the Group President and regional publishers
  • Maintain inventory of mobile devices and other IT assets
  • Document new procedures and updates for internal reference

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in IT support or systems administration
  • Proficiency in Mac OS and Windows environments
  • Experience with Exchange, Office 365, CMS platforms (especially BLOX), VOIP systems (Sangoma/Star2Star), and SonicWall firewalls
  • Strong understanding of networking, security, and infrastructure
  • Basic knowledge of social media tools and administration
  • Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to regional offices
