We are hiring immediately for Package Delivery Helpers to join our team in Aurora, CO at the Amazon HDE2 delivery terminal located at 22300 E 26th Ave, Aurora, CO 80019. This driver helper job will be paired with a box truck driver to helper deliver heavy/oversized packages throughout Northern Colorado, the Denver metro area, and Cheyenne. Earn $18.50/hour and get two weeks paid time off plus a 401(k) with employer matching. This is a great position for anyone 18+ years of age looking to work between 10:00 AM - 8:30 PM.

The Delivery Helper position is a physically demanding role, requiring team members to lift packages weighing up to 300 pounds with the assistance of the delivery driver and delivery equipment (such as a dolly cart or load lifting straps). This position requires working outdoors while delivering at 30 - 50 stops per day. Some deliveries require providing extra services to customers, such as entering a customer home to deliver a package to the room of their choice along with removing the cardboard packaging if requested by the customer. All team members must be able to continuously stand/walk, climb, bend, lift, and push/pull heavy objects for the entire duration of an 8 - 10 hour shift.

• Hourly Pay: $18.50/hour

Work Schedule:
Delivery helpers will start at 10:00 AM each day. A typical delivery route takes 8 - 10 hours to complete, generally finishing before 8:30 PM. Part-time team members will be scheduled to work 2 days a week and full-time employees will work 4 days a week. All team members must work at least one weekend day.

Work Location:
You'll work with our team at Amazon's HDE2 delivery terminal located at 22300 E 26th Ave, Aurora, CO 80019. We're located just a few minutes away from I-70 and Tower Road.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide excellent customer service when entering customer homes and satisfaction despite stressful events / conditions
• Keep pace in physically demanding job; work in all weather conditions and on various routes; lift packages weighing up to 300 lbs. as part of a delivery team; maneuver packages weighing up to 300 lbs by pushing/pulling/sliding or using a dolly cart.
• Climb in and out of a box truck repeatedly throughout the day at each delivery location. Walk on a variety of uneven surfaces.
• Communicate effectively with support team to provide exceptional customer service and ensure deliveries are completed
• Use smart phone device for GPS Navigation, scanning packages, conducting administrative requirements such as clocking in/out, and communicate with supervisors and other team members
• Load and unload packages in delivery vehicle
• Support the team in daily work requirements including participation in rescue calls when other team members need assistance with their routes
