Job description
About the role
We’re building a vetted pool of Data Annotators / AI Trainers to support foundation-model teams on tasks like dataset creation, prompt/reply evaluation, safety & policy reviews, and code/text/language annotation. If you’re detail-oriented, comfortable following precise guidelines, and curious about how modern AI models are trained and evaluated, we’d love to hear from you.
What you’ll do
- Label, review, and refine datasets for LLMs and multimodal models (text, code, image/video where applicable).
- Evaluate model outputs for quality, safety, helpfulness, and factuality using clear rubrics.
- Create and/or improve prompts, test cases, and edge-case examples.
- Follow annotation guidelines meticulously; propose clarifications when instructions are ambiguous.
- Meet quality and throughput targets; participate in calibration sessions and feedback loops.
You might be a great fit if you have
- Strong written English and the ability to follow detailed instructions with high accuracy.
- Proven attention to detail and consistency across repetitive tasks.
- Comfort using spreadsheets, annotation tools, and basic productivity software.
- Reliability: you can commit to steady weekly hours and hit deadlines.
Nice to have (not required)
- Experience with data labeling, RLHF/RLAIF, red-teaming, content moderation, or user research.
- Domain skills (one or more): software engineering / code review, math, finance, healthcare/biology, legal, education, safety policy, multilingual/language expertise.
- Familiarity with modern LLMs, prompt engineering, or evaluation frameworks.
Contract & logistics
- Type: Contractor / part-time (project-based).
- Location: Remote (global).
- Hours: Flexible; typical engagements range from 10–30 hrs/week.
- Compensation: Competitive and based on task type, seniority, and domain skills. (We’ll share project-specific rates during the screening step.)
How to apply (fastest route)
- Submit this short form: Name • Email • Country/Time zone • Weekly availability • Top domain skills (if any).
- Include 1–2 paragraphs on a past example of detail-oriented work (annotation, QA, grading, moderation, research, etc.).
- Share a CV or LinkedIn.
- If selected, you’ll receive a paid or brief trial task to calibrate quality and fit.
Notes
- We hire continuously and match annotators to projects based on skills and availability.
- Some projects require NDAs and policy/compliance training.
- Please do not apply via agencies—individual contractors only.
