Systems Architect II
PioneerTech is looking for a Linux System Administrator to support the JS J7 Joint Training DevSecOps pipeline core infrastructure and data center in Suffolk, VA. The selected candidate will be responsible for supporting the Deputy Directorate, Joint Training (DDJT).
This role is 100% onsite.
Specific duties include, but are not limited to the following:
- Manage and maintain Linux servers
- GCCS-J experience
- Implement security updates and patches
- Develop and maintain scripts for automation
- Collaborate with DevOps teams on infrastructure
- Troubleshoot system performance and connectivity issues
Certifications (IAT Level II)
One of the following:
- Security+ CE
- GIAC Security Essentials Certification (GSEC)
- Security Certified Network Professional (SCNP)
- System Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP)
- RHCSA Red Hat Certified System Administrator (preferred) or
- RHCDS Red Hat Certified Data Center Specialist (preferred)
And
- Functional area certification (required prior to start date)
Required Skills
- A Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related technical discipline.
- At least 5 years of recent and relevant System Administration in Linux

Pay: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
