Professional Services Manager

As a Professional Services Manager (PSM), you play a pivotal role in leading our IT Professional Services team. You will lead and coach a team of local and remote professional consultants and engineers to develop and deliver custom, best-in-class, strategic engineering solutions ranging from small business to enterprise level customers.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Work regionally with a national focus collaborating with other PSMs across the country to ensure successful completion of Professional Services engagements that meet or exceed client expectations.
  • Responsible for managing and scheduling training and study time for consultants and engineers to successfully achieve their career goals and assure they are aligned with corporate skills requirements, and vendor certifications.
  • Provide management, resource assignment, scheduling and oversight of projects and staffing in collaboration with Project Managers and other staff associated with the project/client.
  • Works with the SDO (Service Delivery) group and PSM’s to identify requirements for resources, technical requirements, and process improvements to enhance efficiency across the organization.
  • Day-to-day supervision and direction of IT consulting and engineering staff, including setting expectations, organizing training and developmental opportunities.
  • Serve as the direct Professional Services Organization (PSO) point of contact for the local sales team. Work across the national organization as the local PSO representative to other regions for sales and delivery representative.
  • Act as the local “chief expediter” for sales and delivery activity and the primary local representative for professional services delivery within the local region.

Knowledge, Education & Experience

  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
  • 2+ years’ experience in Managing Teams of highly skills IT resources to achieve utilization and revenue goals
  • Possess practical, working knowledge of professional services and project management methodologies and processes.
  • Excellent knowledge of IT systems, infrastructure, and process.
  • A strong strategic and business mindset
  • Experience in hiring, training, and developing engineers and consultants.
  • Experience in managing relationships with third-party vendors and service providers.
