Ion staffing is looking for a qualified candidate to fill an opening for one of our Global Clients.

Job Summary: We are seeking a Windows Administrator in a VMware environment. Responsible for managing and maintaining VMware infrastructure and Windows servers.

Key duties include system monitoring, patch management, performance tuning, ensuring data backup, implementing IT policies, and provide technical support.

The ideal candidate will ensure the stability, security, and efficiency of our IT systems, working closely with cross-functional teams to implement and manage IT solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain VMware virtual environments.
  • Administer Windows server environments, including Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP.
  • Monitor system performance and ensure server availability and reliability.
  • Apply OS patches and upgrades regularly, and upgrade administrative tools and utilities.
  • Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization.
  • Maintain data backup and recovery processes.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software problems as they arise.
  • Develop and implement IT policies and procedures, including those for architecture, security, disaster recovery, standards, purchasing, and service provision.
  • Provide technical support and training to internal staff.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in system administration, including VMware and Windows.
  • Certification in VMware (e.g., VCP) and Microsoft (e.g., MCSA) preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows server environments, including Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP.
  • Experience with managing large-scale virtualized environments.
  • Proven problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract, Permanent

Pay: $85,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
