Job Title for this role: M365 Exchange Technician

Client is seeking a Microsoft M365 Exchange Technician to support our Corporate Enterprise Application business. This role reports to the Modern Workplace Manager and is located in Pittsburgh, PA. As part of the modernization strategies.

Position Profile: The M365 Exchange Technician is responsible for the planning and developing of roadmaps and deliverables that help the company advance cloud capabilities within Microsoft Azure, as well as full support of the O365 Exchange for the email environment and other related technologies at Client Corporation. The person in this role must develop, document, make recommendations, and implement plans for automation of IT application processes.

Technical support and troubleshooting for Exchange Online.
Day-to-day mailbox and mail flow management.
Assisting with migrations, permissions, and user configurations.
Assiting senior administrator with project work and new tasks.
Develop, document, make recommendations, and implement processes for the corporate email environment.
Work with internal project stakeholders (business clients, business analysts, developers, other architects), to define and deliver solutions on cloud platforms
Maintain a common documentation library of standardized procedures and configurations.
Provide top level of support for incidents and problems in designated areas of expertise.
Work with an off-shore model of human resources for development efforts and operational support.
Provide guidance to senior leaders on emerging M365 technologies and changes being implemented that may impact the production environment
Maintain deep technical insight and understanding of Microsoft technologies

Skills:
Systems and Technology — Ability to demonstrate knowledge of the practical application of systems and technology. This includes knowledge of systems architecture, hardware, operations, and life cycle.
Proactively monitor the health and alerting system for Microsoft Exchange and other M365 services and provide hands-on technical support for Exchange and related technologies including:
Management of Office 365 email users
Maintaining Exchange Online
Data retention policies, email & data security, content search, and encryption
Support of Application Mail Flow and routing
Maintain solution for on-premise applications to relay mail internally & externally
Support of External Mail Gateway
Maintain and set strategy for mail flow to internet
Administer MS Exchange Online configuration with Admin Center and PowerShell
Project Management – Job requires planning and completion of large and small projects.
Communication and Interpersonal Skills – Job requires partnership with all levels of the organization.

Education:
Associates degree from an accredited institution
Minimum 5 years of experience in information technology
Minimum 5 years of M365/Exchange experience or Microsoft Exchange Certification
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in PowerShell and Scripting to support administration of M365 environments
