POSITION SUMMARY

This company relies on a secure, reliable, and highly available global IT infrastructure to power its critical services. We’re looking for a self-driven System Administrator to lead and manage all aspects of IT operations and infrastructure in the US. This hands-on role ensures system performance, security, and reliability while supporting enterprise tools and IT assets. The ideal candidate is a seasoned professional who provides technical support across platforms, implements improvements, and upholds IT best practices with minimal supervision.

Key ResponsibilitiesEnd-User Support & IT Operations:

  • Deliver level 2/3 technical support for Windows, Mac, and Linux systems, both in-person and remotely.
  • Manage endpoint protection, patching, software deployment, and asset lifecycle across the organization.
  • Provide high-level, personalized technical support to internal teams, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption in a mission-critical environment.
  • Provide comprehensive IT support to all staff, with a heightened level of service and discretion for the Executive Leadership Team
  • Lead the procurement and inventory management of hardware/software assets.
  • Enforce IT policies related to data security, access control, and compliance standards.

Infrastructure & Network Administration

  • Ensure high availability and performance of wired and wireless networks across the U.S.
  • Manage and monitor firewalls, routers, switches, VPNs, and failover systems.
  • Support modernization of infrastructure through cloud adoption, automation, and improved scalability.

Cloud Services & System Administration:

  • Administer Google Workspace and/or Microsoft 365 for identity, collaboration, email, and data storage.
  • Implement and manage IAM/IDP tools such as Azure AD, Okta, JumpCloud, and Google Identity.
  • Own backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity operations using platforms like Spanning or equivalent.

Enterprise Applications & SaaS Integration:

  • Manage administrative access, integrations, and provisioning for SaaS platforms (Jira, Zendesk, NetSuite, Salesforce, Wrike, Zuper, RingCentral, etc.).
  • Configure and enforce RBAC, SAML/SSO, 2FA, and conditional access policies.
  • Provide backend support for communication and productivity tools (Zoom, Adobe Admin Console, RingCentral).

Automation & Documentation:

  • Create and maintain automation scripts (PowerShell, Bash) for provisioning, reporting, and support tasks.
  • Support and optimize RMM tools to improve IT service efficiency and responsiveness.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation, including SOPs, KBs, system diagrams, and change logs in line with ITSM principles.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

  • 5–8 years of hands-on IT support experience, including direct desktop and user support.
  • 3–5 years of experience managing network infrastructure (routers, switches, firewalls, WiFi).
  • Strong system administration experience with Google Workspace and/or Microsoft 365.
  • Experience with the setup, integration, and support of AV equipment used for employee meetings, remote collaboration, and on-site presentations.
  • Proficiency in endpoint protection, MDM solutions (Intune, JAMF, Google MDM), and asset tracking.
  • Experience with IAM/IDP platforms and SSO configurations.
  • Solid scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash) and a strong automation mindset.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Experience administering Google Workspace, RingCentral, or equivalent enterprise communication tools.
  • A familiarity with IT service delivery management principles, foundation, and concepts is helpful.
  • Adherence to all job-related practices, policies, and procedures.
  • Constant, quick, and accurate use of a personal computer, automation systems, and office equipment.
