Job Title: Cyber Security Analyst
Location: White Plains, NY (Hybrid – Minimum 3 Days Onsite)
Pay Rate: Competitive hourly rate (W2 only)
Duration: 12 Months (Contract)
Work Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7.5 hours/day + 0.5 hour unpaid lunch
Experience Level: Mid-Level (5–10 Years)
Work Authorization: U.S. Citizens and Green Card holders only (No C2C or visa transfers)
Position Overview:
The Cyber Security Analyst will play a key role in supporting Project Luminate, with a focus on processing cyber security requests and maintaining the organization's overall security posture. This hybrid position requires a local candidate (Tri-State Area only) with a strong background in firewall and zero trust policy enforcement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement, manage, and monitor firewall and zero trust security policies (e.g., Zscaler).
- Continuously analyze logs and alerts from firewalls and VPNs to detect suspicious activity.
- Ensure compliance with internal and external cybersecurity standards.
- Diagnose and resolve security-related issues across multiple platforms.
- Collaborate with network engineers and IT staff on security best practices and incident response.
- Support endpoint security efforts using tools like CrowdStrike, Windows Defender, and Splunk.
- Participate in cross-functional teams to improve Client’s overall security infrastructure.
Required Skills:
- Hands-on experience with firewall platforms: Checkpoint, Palo Alto, Fortinet.
- Proficiency with zero trust tools such as Zscaler.
- Familiarity with endpoint protection tools: CrowdStrike, Windows Defender.
- Experience working with SIEM tools, especially Splunk.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration capabilities.
Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or a related field preferred.
- Cybersecurity certifications such as CCSP, CySA+, or Splunk certification are a plus.
Additional Requirements:
- W2 candidates only – no C2C or 1099.
- Local candidates only (Tri-State area); must be eligible to work in the U.S.
- Must be able to work hybrid schedule (minimum 3 days onsite); personal remote equipment required.
- Client provides desktop workstations onsite – no laptops provided.
- Overtime not permitted unless pre-approved.
- Must badge in/out daily at Client location.
- Selected candidates will undergo background checks, ethics disclosures, and a benefits waiver.
