Job description
Job Title: SQL Server Database Administrator
Location: Tallahassee, FL
Client: State of Florida (Government Client)
Duration: 6+ MonthsQualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 8+ years experience in database design, implementation, maintenance, and administration across multiple platforms
- 8+ years writing complex MS T-SQL (queries, views, stored procedures, UDFs)
- 5+ years with MS SQL Server and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
- 5+ years producing technical documentation (requirements, designs, testing)
- 3+ years creating and maintaining reports using Azure Power BI
- 3+ years developing web applications
- 2+ years experience with Azure DevOps and Visual Studio .NET
- 2+ years experience with Azure SQL Managed Instance
- Experience with database backup/recovery, data modeling, and data security standards
- Experience supporting large-scale implementation projects
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Visio
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain production and non-production databases for the EFS Modernization Project
- Support EFS migration and maintain the DEL Parent Portal
- Ensure database standards, security, and best practices are followed
- Participate in project meetings and stakeholder communications
- Produce monthly status reports and support leadership updates
- Identify and resolve technical issues; assist with contingency planning
- Stay current on database administration technologies
