POSITION: IT Support/ Network Administrator

*Temporary (6 Months) with possible permanent placement*

LOCATION: NSA Dining Services, Fort Meade, MD

SALARY: 70K

Metz Culinary Management is growing and we have an opening for an experienced Network Administrator in a busy and fast paced Government Dining Services setting.

This position will be hired as Temporary (6 Months) with the potential for possible permanent placement.

An IT Support Specialist is needed to provide comprehensive technical assistance and support for our client-partner. This role is the primary point of contact for all technical issues. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in networking, hardware troubleshooting, and be proficient in a variety of technical areas. This position requires someone who can work independently and effectively in a highly secure environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Network Management: Configure and troubleshoot network devices to ensure seamless connectivity and performance. This includes static IP address assignment, MTU configurations, and multi-location network configurations. Experience with Meraki is a plus.
• Hardware & Software Support: Provide expert-level troubleshooting for a wide range of devices, including Windows computers, time clocks, and printers.
• Point-of-Sales (POS): This role is responsible for a very large and multi-building POS system. Maintaining and troubleshooting of terminals, credit card readers, label printers, kitchen display system, customer display system, and payment batch submission. Knowledge of Infor, Mashgin, and FreedomPay is a plus, as you'll be responsible for supporting these critical systems.
• Secure Environment Operations: Adhere to strict security protocols and standards. Experience with CIS Level 3 - Gov standards is highly beneficial.
• Cybersecurity Awareness: A solid understanding of cybersecurity best practices and their impact on daily operations is a plus.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Microsoft Office Suite including Mail
• Strong Networking Skills: Proven ability to configure and troubleshoot complex network issues.
• Troubleshooting Expertise: Exceptional problem-solving skills across various technical domains, including networks, computers, and peripheral devices.
• Independent Work Ethic: Ability to manage all IT support tasks autonomously, as this is a sole support role.
• Secure Environment Experience: Comfort and experience working in a highly secure, regulated environment.
• Microsoft Office Suite including Mail, Word, Excel
