About the Role:
We are seeking a motivated person with IT experience to join our team on location in Oakland Park, Florida as an Entry-Level Data Entry & Back-End Developer in a retail/warehouse hybrid setting. This role is ideal for someone looking to start a career in tech while gaining hands-on experience in both real-time operational and development tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Data Entry, Data Scraping:
- Accurately input and update data in internal systems.
- Verify data for accuracy and completeness.
- Assist with generating reports and maintaining documentation.
- Collaborate with others to ensure data consistency.
- Back-End Development:
- Support the development and maintenance of server-side applications using Microsoft SQL.
- Write and test basic code using languages such as Python, JavaScript, or Java.
- Assist with database management and API integration.
- Troubleshoot and debug general IT issues.
- Create & implement spreadsheet solutions for multi-platform seamless data streaming.
- Other day-to-day operations:
- Assisting customers and others with orders.
- Assisting with general retail and warehouse operations
- Answering calls, emails, and performing general office duties
- Completing any other tasks and assignments as requested
- Basic level Cyber Security IT functions (creating users, emails, profiles, etc.)
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent, (excel spreadsheet proficiency is a must).
- Basic understanding of programming languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript, Java).
- Familiarity with Microsoft SQL databases and Microsoft Server Environment
- Familiarity with WordPress website and programming language
- Familiarity with Mailcow Email Server Environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Able to lift 70 pounds frequently when necessary
Preferred Skills:
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
- Experience with Git or version control systems.
- Experience with Microsoft SQL, NCR Counterpoint POS, WordPress, QuickBooks, and other related backend programs and plugins
- Exposure to APIs and connecting cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
- Interest in learning and growing within a tech-focused role.
- English/Spanish multilingual is a plus
