Job Description:

Because ExoTerra’s technology and scale are expanding fast, we require an IT leader who not only implements systems but owns their operational lifecycle, builds the roadmap, drives change, and lifts our IT capability to world-class. Team: You will lead an in-house IT team of ~3 operational IT professionals plus external contractors and collaborate closely with our parent company, Voyager’s IT organization.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced IT Lead with strong Project Management experience who can both implement and operationally manage key IT systems, lead a small team, and partner with the wider Voyager ecosystem to define and execute a multi-year IT strategy. The ideal candidate will lead the transition away from our current systems (including moving from Deltek Costpoint to NetSuite), evaluate shared-services opportunities, embed AI and automation into our IT tool-stack, ensure rigorous cybersecurity and compliance, mentor a growing team, and deliver projects on cost, schedule and performance.

Key Responsibilities

Systems Implementation & Operational Oversight

  • Lead the full lifecycle implementation of enterprise systems (e.g., Costpoint → NetSuite transition, shared services evaluation) including requirements gathering, design, functional engagement, change management, configuration, testing, deployment, cutover and operational support
  • Manage the ongoing operational support of major IT systems, ensuring high availability, performance, and continuous improvement.
  • Drive the development of an IT roadmap: create a blueprint, define the end-state architecture, prioritize initiatives, and map dependencies across the subsidiary and parent-company environment.
  • Embed artificial intelligence, machine learning, automation and advanced analytics into the enterprise to increase productivity, reduce cost and improve decision-making.

Team Leadership & Change-Management

  • Lead, mentor and grow a team of ~3 full-time IT staff, plus manage contractors and vendor relationships; set priorities, performance goals, and career development.
  • Work across functions (Finance, Program Management, Supply Chain, HR, etc.) to ensure stakeholder engagement, ensure business requirements are captured, and change-management processes are in place (communications, training, adoption).
  • Establish and maintain strong governance, project management discipline (cost/schedule/performance), risk management, and stakeholder reporting.

Cybersecurity, Compliance & Best Practices

  • Ensure the IT function meets or exceeds cybersecurity and compliance requirements (e.g., NIST, CMMC, aerospace/defense standards) and oversees ongoing compliance, auditing, monitoring, and remediation.
  • Develop and maintain IT policies, standards, metrics, service-level agreements (SLAs) and operational procedures consistent with industry best practices.
  • Drive continuous improvement: identify process inefficiencies, automation opportunities, tool rationalization, and standardization.

Strategic Partnering & Shared-Services Integration

  • Partner with Voyager’s IT organization to evaluate shared services options, align technology roadmaps, while preserving ExoTerra’s agility and mission-critical focus.
  • Act as liaison between ExoTerra business leadership and Voyager IT; provide clear status, escalation path, and alignment of strategy to execution.
  • Provide analytics and reporting on system performance, business value delivered, ROI, adoption metrics, and operational readiness.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (Master’s or MBA preferred).
  • 8+ years of IT experience with at least 3-5 years in a project management leadership role (preferably in aerospace/defense, high-technology or regulated environments).
  • Strong project management discipline: proven track record of delivering complex IT systems (ERP or equivalent), on time, on budget, in a multi-stakeholder context.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred), Costpoint or other aerospace/defense program-controls systems, vendor-selection/framing, integration experience.
  • Demonstrated operational management of IT systems: SLA ownership, support model, vendor/contractor management, analytics.
  • Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, compliance standards (e.g., NIST, CMMC) and experience implementing them.
  • Excellent leadership, team building and mentoring skills; ability to set clear goals, manage performance, drive growth in others.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and change-management capability: able to engage business functions, manage business-IT alignment, and drive adoption.
  • Superb communication skills (technical & business), strong organizational and analytical abilities, risk-management mindset.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $160,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
