Systems Administrator III – Downtown Columbus, Ohio

The Ohio Public Employees Retirement System is seeking a Systems Administrator III to join our Platform Support team. Are you an expert in Linux server admin, support, and design? In this position, you will plan, design, manage and support our IT servers and system infrastructure with a focus on Linux and VMWare. You’ll have the ability to learn new technology, mentor other staff and collaborate with many areas of the company. What you’ll bring

• A Bachelor’s degree or higher in related field with at least 6 years of server and systems administration experience OR a high school diploma/GED along with at least 10 years of experience
• Expert-level Linux server administration, support and design is a must.
• Experience with Server Virtualization (VMWare) and Scripting experience
• Must have previous project management experience
• Must have demonstrated the ability to provide expert-level technical support, resolving complex issues.
• Requires rotational on-call with occasional night and weekend work
