Your Role
As the sole IT leader, you will be the primary point of contact for all technology needs across the agency. Reporting to the Director of Operations, you’ll independently oversee all aspects of our IT environment, ensuring seamless workflows, security, and efficiency for our full-time, freelance, and remote staff.
You’ll work across diverse industries and across varying form factors, ranging from automotive, luxury, travel, operating systems, website ecosystems, design for voice and artificial intelligence.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the go-to IT contact for all employees, providing timely, solutions-oriented support and maintaining a service-focused experience.
- Lead SOC2 compliance efforts in partnership with external vendor: maintain documentation, implement controls, support audits, and ensure agency-wide adherence to security and privacy best practices. Manage and maintain relationships and accountability with our outsourced IT partner, ensuring clarity with roles and responsibilities between you and the IT partner.
- Oversee onboarding/offboarding for all employees and freelancers, including account setup/removal and equipment provisioning, in partnership with the external IT vendor.
- Administer and oversee core business applications (e.g., Google Workspace, Box, Miro, Figma, Slack, Zoom, Loom, Adobe, Office 365), including user access, licensing, and troubleshooting.
- Purchase, track, and maintain company equipment; ensure an up-to-date inventory of all IT assets.
- Maintain a current log of software licenses, conduct regular reviews, and optimize usage and costs.
- Oversee and instruct on video conferencing equipment and manage internet/Wi-Fi.
- Maintain documentation and manage renewals for company domain names and website hosting, coordinating with outside developers as needed.
- Develop and enforce IT security policies and conduct staff security awareness training.
- Continuously improve IT processes and recommend new tools or practices to enhance productivity and security.
- Negotiate, manage, and renew IT vendor contracts to ensure cost-effective, high-quality service delivery; evaluate performance and pricing regularly to align with business needs.
Experience and Skills
- 5+ years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or technology management, preferably in a small agency or creative environment.
- Strong organizational, research, and problem-solving skills; exceptional attention to detail and follow-through.
- Demonstrated experience with SOC2 compliance, including documentation, process improvement, and audit support.
- Proficiency with Mac environments, SaaS tools, and cloud services.
- Experience as an admin for Google Workspace and other common agency tools.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple tasks, and communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical staff.
- Calm under pressure, pragmatic, and solutions-oriented.
- Experience managing external vendors or service providers.
- Prior experience supporting creative or digital production teams.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
