Newfab, Inc. is a metal fabricator and contract manufacturer of commercial and industrial machinery and equipment. Located in Auburn, Maine.

The Metal Fabricator/Process Welder position is responsible for fabricating and assembling machinery, including process piping, and components per drawings and other supplied information. Successful candidate will be able to read mechanical drawings, perform layout, cutting, forming, fitting, and welding MIG/TIG on carbon and stainless steel and be able to perform certified pipe welding as required.

Lay out, fit, and fabricate metal components to meet customer requirements. Work involves carbon and stainless steel structural shapes, sheet, plate, and piping, assembly of components, such as machinery frames, and vessels, using knowledge of welding techniques, metallurgy, and engineering requirements.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma. Relevant experience may be a suitable substitute.
• Experience in a metal manufacturing environment.
• Strict attention to detail, job cross function willingness
• Press Brake experience is a must
• Multi-tasking skills, basic math skills
• Positive attitude, strict attention to detail
• Willingness to work overtime
• Ability to start ASAP
• Exceptional attendance.
• Conduct activities in a safe and healthy manner and work in accordance with established safety and company requirements.
• Must have dependable transportation in all-weather occurrences
• Drug free at all times
