About Us:
FyberCom is a fast-growing, locally owned broadband provider specializing in fiber optic technology across East Idaho. As we scale, we’re looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Database Administrator (DBA) to manage and maintain our internal systems and databases.
Position Overview:
As our DBA, you’ll be responsible for overseeing the development, security, and performance of our internal databases. You’ll work closely with our technical and operations teams to ensure our systems run smoothly, efficiently, and securely.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize internal database systems
- Build new databases to support internal applications and processes
- Monitor database performance and implement improvements as needed
- Ensure data integrity, security, and regular backups
- Develop scripts for automation, reporting, and routine maintenance
- Collaborate with IT and other departments to support business needs
- Provide technical documentation and support for end-users
Qualifications:
3+ years of experience as a DBA or in a related IT role
- Proficient in SQL and database management tools (MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MS SQL preferred)
- Strong understanding of database structures, design, and performance tuning
- Experience with data backups, recovery, and security best practices
- Familiarity with internal business systems and software integrations
- Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $49,000.00 - $61,000.00 per year
