About the Role

We’re looking for a Junior Software Engineer to help build the core systems powering our platform and play a key role in developing our AI initiatives. This is a hands-on position where you’ll contribute directly to software that modernizes how property managers handle receivables and how renters manage payments.

You’ll collaborate closely with our CTO and engineering team to design, build, and deliver new features, integrate with external systems, and ensure our platform is reliable, secure, and user-friendly.

This role is ideal for an engineer with 2–5 years of experience who’s eager to grow into a high-ownership position in a fast-paced startup environment. Our company is seed-funded and already partnering with some of the largest property operators in the U.S.

What You’ll Do

• Build and maintain backend services and user-facing applications
• Design APIs and data models to support financial workflows
• Integrate with banking, PMS, and payment processing systems
• Contribute to system reliability, testing, and documentation
• Collaborate with the CTO and team to plan and deliver product features
• Write clean, maintainable code and participate in code reviews
• Take ownership of key AI-focused initiatives

What We’re Looking For

• 2–5 years of professional software engineering experience
• Strong backend development skills (Node.js, TypeScript, or similar)
• Familiarity with React, GraphQL, Postgres, and AWS
• Strong problem-solving and debugging abilities
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-moving startup environment
• Understanding of large language models (LLMs) and how they work under the hood

Bonus Points For

• Experience in fintech or proptech
• Previous work at an early-stage startup
• Familiarity with DevOps or infrastructure-as-code workflows
• Experience with payment APIs (Stripe, USAePay, etc.)

Compensation & Benefits

Contract:

• $55/hour
• Hybrid schedule with regular in-office collaboration (1-2 days a week)

Full-Time (upon conversion):

• Base salary: $110K–$120K
• Meaningful equity + bonus structure
