Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Systems Administrator to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining our IT infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability of our systems. This role requires a deep understanding of various technologies and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and maintain operating systems, servers, and network infrastructure.
  • Implement and manage RAID controllers for data redundancy and performance.
  • Design and support service-oriented architecture (SOA) solutions.
  • Develop solution architecture for various IT projects, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Utilize Pegasystems for application development and management.
  • Oversee system administration tasks across various platforms including Linux and Windows
  • Ensure information security through effective firewall configurations and VPN management.
  • Manage databases including MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, and Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Implement load balancing strategies to optimize application performance.
  • Collaborate with development teams using Agile methodologies to support software development life cycle (SDLC).
  • Utilize virtualization technologies such as VMware and Kubernetes for efficient resource management.
  • Write scripts in Bash (Unix shell), Python, or JavaScript to automate tasks and improve system efficiency.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues related to computer networking and IT infrastructure.

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of system architecture principles and systems engineering practices.
  • Proficiency in cloud services such as AWS or Azure.
  • Familiarity with NoSQL databases and RESTful APIs for application integration.
  • Experience with DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines using tools like Git and Jenkins.
  • Understanding of DHCP, DNS, load balancing, and microservices architecture.
  • Ability to design secure systems while adhering to best practices in information security.
