About Us: Medco Global Services LLC is a trusted leader in medical revenue cycle management, providing efficient, accurate, and secure solutions for healthcare providers. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a dedicated IT Systems Administrator/IT Support Engineer to join our team.

Job Description: We are seeking a skilled System Administrator with hands-on experience in Linux, MySQL, open-source tools, and virtualization. The ideal candidate is proactive and diligent, taking responsibility for a wide variety of tasks, and confident working either independently or cooperatively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Management of Linux environments - patching, updates, general upkeep
  • Monitoring of services and speedy troubleshooting
  • Database management (MySQL)
  • Software deployment, upkeep, and bug reporting
  • Utilize and adapt open source tools for company use
  • Execute any virtualization requirements for the company or internal teams
  • Manage Windows Active Directory
  • Maintain the company wide networking system
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve technical problems and implement improvements
  • Provide technical support for user desktop issues
  • Take ownership of tasks and ensure timely resolution of IT-related issues
  • Proactively develop monitoring systems and preemptive solutions
  • Provide excellent customer service and maintain positive relationships with end users

Technologies

  • Linux - strong experience preferred
  • MySQL
  • Nginx
  • DNS
  • ESX (virtualization)
  • CISCO Routers/catalyst series switches
  • VOIP phone system

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, or something similar
  • Strong experience with Linux
  • Proficient with open-source tools and technologies
  • Experience with Windows domain controllers and network administration
  • Solid troubleshooting skills for desktop issues (hardware/software)
  • Ability to work independently and take full responsibility for resolving technical issues
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to solve IT issues with utmost professionalism and efficiency

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Relevant certifications in IT support or systems administration (e.g., CompTIA, Microsoft, Linux)
  • Experience with scripting and automation tools
  • Familiarity with networking protocols and security practices
