Silotech Group is seeking two experienced Configuration Management Analysts (Operations Research Analysts) to support the United States Strategic Command’s (USSTRATCOM) Command and Control Facility (C2F) at Offutt Air Force Base. These positions are essential in executing a comprehensive Configuration Management (CM) program for mission-critical systems that support national defense objectives. The role involves planning, implementing, auditing, and managing CM processes, while ensuring system integrity and documentation throughout the lifecycle.

This job description is for a proposal contract effort for award in 2025.

Location

This position is based 100% onsite at Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska. Occasional CONUS travel may be required (approximately two trips per year).

Clearance Requirements

Active Top Secret clearance with current eligibility for SCI and Nuclear Command and Control (NC2) accesses is required.

Essential Roles and Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain Configuration Management Plans aligned with DoD and industry standards (e.g., EIA-649C, MIL-HDBK-61A).
• Conduct CM assessments and audits to ensure systems conform to established baselines and documentation.
• Lead or participate in Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), CM Working Groups, and other CM governance bodies.
• Coordinate and guide efforts across multiple USSTRATCOM directorates and stakeholders.
• Support configuration identification, control, status accounting, and verification for all Configuration Items (CIs).
• Manage CMPro administration including user access, workflow configuration, data population, and maintenance.
• Generate reports, dashboards, and analytics to support CM performance metrics and stakeholder decision-making.
• Provide CM training and assist with the development of CM procedures, metrics, and resource planning.
• Maintain configuration documentation and oversee baseline establishment for systems and subsystems.
• Support government-led audits and assist in resolving discrepancies and implementing corrective actions.

Qualifications

Education

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in engineering, physical science, mathematics, life sciences, computer science, or other relevant scientific fields.

Experience

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in systems engineering and system configuration management.
• Demonstrated success in technical planning, lifecycle configuration control, and documentation standards.
• Proven ability to lead or collaborate with cross-functional teams in a DoD or federal environment.
• Experience planning, organizing, and managing research, development, or support activities tied to configuration control.

Certifications

No specific certification is required, but candidates must meet DoD security training and access compliance prior to start.

Desired Skills

• Familiarity with CM standards such as EIA-649-1 and MIL-HDBK-61A.
• Prior experience working with CMPro or similar configuration/data management systems.
• Experience supporting classified programs and navigating CM challenges in highly regulated environments.
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to draft technical white papers, reports, and conduct briefings.
• Knowledge of Department of Defense organizational structures and mission-related CM operations.
