Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Senior Database Administrator to lead the management, optimization, and security of our critical database systems. Duties

  • Design, implement, and maintain high-availability database solutions across multiple platforms including Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, and MySQL.
  • Perform advanced performance tuning and optimization to ensure fast query response times and efficient resource utilization.
  • Develop and manage complex ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes using SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) and scripting languages such as Bash (Unix shell) and Shell Scripting on Linux systems.
  • Conduct comprehensive database administration tasks including backups, recovery procedures, user access control, and security audits.
  • Collaborate with development teams to design scalable database schemas and ensure best practices in database design.
  • Monitor system health and troubleshoot issues proactively to minimize downtime; implement disaster recovery plans for critical systems.
  • Automate routine maintenance tasks through scripting to enhance operational efficiency and reliability.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience with database management systems such as Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, or similar platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of high availability configurations, replication, clustering, and failover strategies.
  • Expertise in performance tuning techniques for SQL queries and database objects.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages including Bash (Unix shell), Shell Scripting, PL/SQL, and other automation tools.
  • Hands-on experience with ETL processes using SSIS or equivalent tools; familiarity with data warehousing concepts is a plus.
  • Solid understanding of Linux environments for database hosting and scripting purposes.

Pay: $101,952.45 - $122,781.44 per year
