Carswell Distributing Company is seeking a detail-oriented, effective, and experienced IT Specialist to join our team. The IT Specialist will administer our Netsuite ERP and use their expertise to monitor and maintain our IT systems. This position will focus on best practices and initiatives that enable continuing innovation within the organization and ensure that system hardware, operating systems, and software systems are fully operational.

Responsibilities

General

• Administer company ERP system through managing users, permissions, and workflows in Netsuite
• Develop new strategies and IT procedures to increase efficiency, enhance workflow and improve customer satisfaction
• Protect company data
• Oversee and determine timeframes for major IT projects including system updates, upgrades, migrations and outages
• Design training programs and workshops for staff
• Manage and report on allocation of IT budget
• Assist with the installation of new hardware and software and help train employees on its use
• Implement EDI where applicable to increase company efficiency
• Administer and maintain VOIP Phone System and printer infrastructure.

Google Workspace & Cloud Administration

• Administer Google Workspace, including Gmail, Drive, Calendar, Meet, and Docs
• Manage user accounts, groups, organizational units, and access permissions in Google Admin Console
• Configure and enforce security policies, 2-step verification, and data loss prevention settings
• Support Google Cloud Platform resources and integrations as needed
• Manage Chrome device policies and Chromebook deployments
• Troubleshoot Google apps issues and provide end-user training on Google tools

Network & Infrastructure

• Monitor and maintain LAN/WAN connectivity, VPNs, and network performance
• Manage Active Directory, user accounts, group policies, and permissions
• Perform regular backups and test disaster recovery procedures
• Implement and enforce security policies, antivirus updates, and patch management
• Maintain server room environment, including UPS systems and cable management

Skills & Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in information technology.
• Comprehensive understanding of network architecture and client/server technology
• Proven track record of maintaining IT structural integrity
• Experience with Netsuite is a plus.
• Experience with different EDI systems.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple problems simultaneously
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Software development abilities preferred
• Strong problem solving and communication skills required
• Ability to prioritize is critical

Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
