Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated In-Home Caregiver to provide essential support and care to an individual in their home. This role includes coverage of room and board in the client's home. This role is critical in enhancing the quality of life for our client by assisting with daily living activities, ensuring their safety, and promoting their independence. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to patient care and a desire to make a positive impact in the lives of those they serve.
Duties
- Assist client with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Develop and implement personalized care plans tailored to individual needs and preferences.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to client, fostering a positive environment.
- Administer all medications according to Doctor's orders in a timely manner.
- Monitor client's health status and report any changes or concerns to appropriate healthcare professionals and family members.
- Assist with mobility and transfers, including lifting when necessary, while ensuring client safety.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment. Perform general housekeeping and follow cleaning schedules for laundry, bedrooms, dining area, living space, bathrooms, kitchen, and other areas.
- Follow procedures in emergency situations and respond promptly and positively to client requests for assistance.
Experience
- Extensive experience of medical patient care management of an elderly person is preferred.
- Registered Nursing credentials and medication administration experience preferred.
- Familiarity with patient care techniques and the ability to follow care plans effectively.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining client confidentiality.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
