Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Biostatistician / Machine Learning Engineer specializing in Sequencing and In Vitro Diagnostics (IVD). This role involves developing advanced analytical models and algorithms to interpret complex biological data, supporting cutting-edge research and clinical applications. The ideal candidate will have expertise in bioinformatics, data analysis, and machine learning, with a strong foundation in molecular biology and biochemistry. Duties
- Develop and implement machine learning models for sequencing data analysis, leveraging AI and deep learning techniques.
- Analyze large-scale genomic datasets using bioinformatics tools, databases, and scripting languages such as Python, R, C++, and SAS.
- Manage and optimize cloud-based data processing workflows on AWS and other cloud platforms.
- Perform data mining and statistical analysis adhering to CDISC standards for clinical trial data.
- Design and maintain databases for sequencing results, genetic information, and clinical metadata.
- Visualize complex data sets through advanced data visualization tools to communicate findings effectively.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on projects involving next-generation sequencing (NGS), molecular biology, epidemiology, and quantum engineering principles.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and support the integration of biostatistics into IVD development processes.
- Contribute to research publications, technical reports, and presentations related to genomics and biostatistics.
Skills
- Proficiency in cloud computing environments, particularly AWS, for scalable data processing.
- Strong programming skills in Python, R, C++, SAS, and scripting languages for automation and analysis.
- Expertise in bioinformatics pipelines, next-generation sequencing technologies, and molecular biology techniques.
- Experience with databases such as SQL for managing large biological datasets.
- Knowledge of machine learning frameworks including AI algorithms applicable to genomics.
- Data mining skills combined with statistical analysis capabilities tailored for clinical trials and epidemiological studies.
- Familiarity with CDISC standards for clinical data management.
- Understanding of biochemistry, genetics, epidemiology, and quantum engineering concepts relevant to biostatistics.
- Ability to visualize complex datasets effectively using advanced visualization tools.
