Job Summary
As the IT Analyst, will play a key role in supporting, maintaining, and improving the company’s technology environment with a focus on Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) systems. This individual will work closely with internal departments, customers, and suppliers to ensure seamless data communication and troubleshoot integration issues across manufacturing systems. You will oversee the security posture of EDI communications, ERP systems (specifically Microsoft Dynamics 365), and other critical technologies across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the setup, configuration, and integration of EDI systems with customers, suppliers, and internal applications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve EDI transmission errors, mapping issues, and data translation problems.
- Collaborate with ERP and MES teams to ensure EDI data flows correctly between business systems.
- Support daily IT operations across manufacturing systems, workstations, servers, and network equipment.
- Assist in the implementation of new applications, upgrades, and process improvements.
- Create and maintain documentation for EDI workflows, IT procedures, and system configurations.
- Provide end-user support and training related to EDI and other IT systems.
- Monitor system performance and proactively identify potential issues or improvements.
- Develop, implement, and manage a comprehensive information security program tailored to an automotive manufacturing environment.
- Needs to have the ability to communicate with the EDI vendor to troubleshoot any issues.
- Ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of all data systems, especially ERP (D365) and EDI systems.
- Collaborate with IT, operations, and leadership to identify and mitigate security risks across all business units.
- Monitor network traffic and system alerts for security vulnerabilities and incidents; lead incident response when necessary.
- Conduct regular security assessments, audits, and compliance checks.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal security policies.
- Partner with external vendors and service providers to manage third-party risks.
- Develop and enforce information security policies and procedures in alignment with TISAX standards and ISO requirements.
- Monitor and manage network security across WAN, LAN, and cloud environments, ensuring robust protection against threats.
- Implement and maintain security tools such as SIEM, IDS, firewalls, VPNs, and encryption technologies.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify potential weaknesses in the IT infrastructure.
- Manage identity & access management processes to ensure secure authentication practices across all systems.
- Oversee incident response activities, including incident management and recovery strategies for data breaches or cybersecurity incidents.
- Ensure secure system administration practices across various operating systems including Windows, Linux, macOS, and UNIX.
- Provide guidance on cloud architecture security for platforms such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, and PaaS/IaaS solutions.
- Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity trends and attack frameworks to proactively address emerging threats.
- Prepare reports on security incidents and compliance audits for management review.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of IT experience, preferably in an automotive manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience with EDI setup, mapping, integration, and troubleshooting (ANSI X12, EDIFACT, or equivalent).
- Working knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics 365, SAP, or similar).
- Familiarity with manufacturing systems such as MES, barcoding, and label printing.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical users.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with ERP-EDI integrations, especially in high-volume manufacturing environments.
- Familiarity with automotive industry standards, such as IATF 16949, MMOG/LE, etc.
- Knowledge of scripting or automation tools to streamline IT operations.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
