Position Title: Technical Solutions Architect for Department of Transportation Account
Location: Hybrid in the Metro DC area (or drivable distance within 2 hours)
Clearance: Must be a U.S. Citizen and be able to obtain a U.S. Federal government client badge and be required to pass a government Public Trust background investigation
Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and visionary Solutions/Technical Architect to join our fast-growing small business. In this leadership role you will be responsible for designing, delivering, and selling innovative technical solutions in Application/Software Development, Legacy Application Migration, SaaS/PaaS, and DevSecOps. With a focus on the Department of Transportation (DOT), you will support direct billable work and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, leveraging your deep technical expertise to lead all technical delivery efforts and drive the success of complex projects.

Your future duties and responsibilities:
- Through direct billable work, lead the architecture and design of strategic technical solutions
- Lead/manage overall technical delivery efforts across Indev’s DOT account.
- Engage with clients to identify their needs, challenges, and goals, translating them into technical solutions that drive business value.
- Be a leader of the technical team that understands client requirements and contributes to the development of winning proposals.
- Drive the development and delivery technical demonstrations and proofs of concept.
- Provide direct billable support, guidance and technical leadership to project teams, ensuring alignment with solution architecture throughout the project lifecycle.
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies, applying this knowledge to shape innovative solution offerings.
- Contribute to the evolution of our technical architecture strategy and best practices.
- Foster collaborative relationships with clients, partners, and internal stakeholders to ensure successful solution implementation.
- Provide thought leadership and mentorship to junior team members.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
- 10+ years' experience as a technical architect, solution architect, or similar role, with a focus on designing complex and strategic technical solutions, ideally within the transportation market.
- In-depth knowledge of DOT customer mission requirements and IT buying habits.
- Strong understanding of a variety of technologies and their applications, including cloud computing, data analytics, artificial intelligence, software development, and cybersecurity.
- Experience with capture management, including leading the development of winning technical proposals and client presentations.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, or a related field
- Must live in the Washington DC Area
