This position is located in Tyler, Texas.

The Systems Architect designs, implements, and optimizes the company’s enterprise technology ecosystem to support business goals and future growth. Partnering with the CFO and department leaders, this role develops a long-term technology roadmap that integrates automation and AI to improve efficiency. The position manages the selection and integration of core platforms such as SharePoint, WellSky, and iSolved while ensuring data integrity, compliance, and system reliability. The Systems Architect also leads migrations, establishes governance standards, and trains stakeholders to maintain a unified, high-performing, and strategically aligned technology environment.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES – Directly & Through Subordinates:

Strategic Alignment

  • Collaborate with the CFO and department heads to align technology initiatives with business objectives.
  • Assess existing systems and develop a master plan for the company’s end-state tech stack, incorporating automation and AI capabilities.

System Design, Implementation & Integration

  • Select, configure, and oversee management of core software tools and integrations, including SharePoint, WellSky, iSolved, and other enterprise systems.
  • Design how new applications and tools integrate with existing systems (CRM, HRIS, accounting, scheduling, etc.).
  • Define and document technical architecture, data flows, and system dependencies.

Implementation & Optimization

  • Evaluate and implement new features and enhancements within existing platforms.
  • Lead or coordinate system migrations, ensuring data integrity and minimal business disruption.
  • Establish policies for user accounts, permissions, and device management to maintain data security and ensure HIPPA and PCI compliance.

Operational Support

  • Collaborate with IT Support teams to ensure high performance and availability of critical platforms.
  • Provide guidance and training to department stakeholders on new tools and workflows, who will in turn train and support users.
  • Ensure systems administration procedures are compliant with policies.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in IT systems design, administration, or architecture.
  • Proven track record in evaluating and integrating business software platforms.
  • Experience leading system migrations and implementing automation or AI-driven tools preferred.
  • Understanding of backup/recovery systems and disaster recovery planning.
  • Highly organized, self-driven, and capable of managing multiple priorities.
  • Technical fluency to translate operational needs into system design.
  • Ability to work through technical tasks while maintaining focus on big picture goals.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into business value.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise systems (SharePoint, HRIS, CRMs, ERP, and cloud platforms).
  • Knowledge of data governance, security standards, and scalability.
  • Experience with APIs, data integration, and middleware.
  • Familiarity with Office 365 / Microsoft 365 environments and security administration.
  • Works effectively in a matrix structure.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT/TRAVEL

  • Ability to work 1-4 days per week at corporate office in Tyler, TX.
  • Minimal travel of 1-2 days per month.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a desk and using a computer. ​
  • Manual dexterity in hands to operate computing equipment, such as a computer keyboard. Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, twist, kneel, or crouch occasionally. ​
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds. ​
  • Ability to perform repetitive movements, such as typing or data entry tasks.
  • Ability to speak, read, and write in English to effectively communicate with employees.

SUCCESS METRICS

  • Delivery of technology roadmap aligned with business goals.
  • Support deployment of Zoho CRM.
  • Implement an integrated communications platform (calls, text, messaging, ticketing) within 9–12 months.
  • 50%+ reduction in communication errors.
  • 20%+ improvement in scheduling efficiencies.
  • ≥99% uptime and reliability.
  • Fully documented, maintainable system with staff trained on use.
