About the Client
Our client is seeking an Epic Security Analyst to manage high-volume access operations in a fast-paced healthcare IT environment. This role is critical to ensuring seamless user access provisioning while maintaining security standards and compliance across Epic systems.
Position Summary
We're looking for an experienced Epic Security Analyst to own and execute work in a high-volume ServiceNow queue, consistently handling hundreds of tickets per week. You'll manage new user onboarding, role transitions, offboarding, and access troubleshooting while maintaining security best practices and ensuring timely support for clinical and administrative staff.
This role requires exceptional organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize competing demands based on impact, urgency, and patient-care considerations while meeting defined SLAs.
Important: This role is not open to C2C or C2H arrangements and is only available to candidates legally authorized to work in the United States.
Key Responsibilities
High-Volume Access Operations (Epic Tickets)
- Own and execute work in a high-volume ServiceNow queue, consistently handling hundreds of tickets per week for access creation, changes, troubleshooting, terminations/offboarding, and triage
- Manage new user onboarding, role transitions, and offboarding processes efficiently and accurately
- Prioritize and route requests using impact, urgency, patient-care considerations, risk, and defined SLAs
- Escalate complex or high-risk issues appropriately to ensure proper resolution
- Meet or exceed ticket resolution SLAs while maintaining quality and compliance standards
Access Troubleshooting & Problem Resolution
- Troubleshoot access end-to-end including request intent, user attributes, role mapping, provisioning outcomes, and in-application authorization
- Document decisions and outcomes clearly for auditability and compliance requirements
- Identify patterns in access issues and recommend process improvements
- Collaborate with technical teams to resolve systemic provisioning challenges
Security Administration & Compliance
- Provision user accounts using Epic Security tools and workflows
- Utilize Epic import/export functionality for efficient bulk operations
- Maintain security standards while ensuring timely access for end-users
- Support compliance and audit requirements through accurate documentation and record-keeping
- Ensure adherence to organizational access policies and security best practices
Required Qualifications
Education
- Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
Certifications
- Epic Security certification required
Experience
- Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience with Epic Security work provisioning and user account management
- Demonstrated experience managing high-volume ticketing systems (ServiceNow or similar)
- Proven ability to handle hundreds of tickets weekly in a fast-paced environment
Technical Skills
- Deep understanding of Epic Security templates, roles, and access provisioning
- Strong Epic import/export skills and experience
- Proficiency with ServiceNow for ticket management and workflow tracking
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities
- Experience with user lifecycle management (onboarding, role changes, offboarding)
- Strong attention to detail with commitment to data accuracy
Professional Skills
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities
- Clear written and verbal communication skills for documentation and stakeholder interaction
- Ability to work independently while meeting SLAs and deadlines

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SailPoint/Epic integration or Epic blueprints
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills for data management and analysis
- Additional Epic certifications (any application)
- Experience in academic medical center or large healthcare system environment
- Familiarity with healthcare compliance and audit requirements
- Previous experience supporting Epic implementations or upgrades
