Job description
We are seeking a Server Manager for an exciting opportunity!
This is a contract-to-hire position that offers the benefit of a hybrid schedule!
We are seeking a senior-level leader to oversee enterprise server infrastructure, including physical/virtual servers, virtualization platforms, SAN systems, and data integrity services. This high-visibility role ensures 24x7 system availability, stability, and security while managing a 14-person team (6 direct reports).
The ideal candidate brings strong communication and leadership skills with proven experience in strategic planning, operational oversight, and risk reduction. Success requires leading through others, aligning priorities across departments, and delivering scalable, resilient infrastructure. Knowledge of ITIL service operations (Incident, Problem, and Change Management) is expected.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership for server, storage, and backup teams
- Develop and execute infrastructure strategic plans aligned with executive goals
- Oversee lifecycle management for hardware/software, patching, and vulnerability remediation
- Evaluate operations, staffing, and projects to identify and implement improvements
- Drive infrastructure security, access control, and compliance with service levels
- Lead hiring, mentoring, and performance development of team members
- Collaborate across departments on enterprise-wide initiatives
- Maintain metrics, asset inventory, and capacity forecasts
- Direct business continuity and disaster recovery planning
- Manage annual budgets, ROI analysis, and resource planning
- Advance automation, process efficiency, and interoperability
- Champion adoption of modern technologies such as:
- Pure Storage, Dell PowerStore, Commvault, and Microsoft Azure Cloud
- Research and advocate for emerging technologies to meet future needs
Management Duties
- Set division goals and monitor progress
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and standards
- Manage staffing, training, and performance evaluations
- Participate in budgeting and reporting to executive leadership
- Provide hands-on technical leadership when needed
Qualifications
- 5–10 years of experience managing enterprise server infrastructure
- Proven success in high-availability (near 100% uptime) environments
- Experience with Pure Storage, Dell PowerStore, Commvault, and Azure Cloud highly desirable

Pay: $68.00 - $70.00 per hour
