Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced IT Manager to oversee our organization's technology infrastructure and ensure the efficient operation of our IT systems. This role is responsible for managing IT resources, supporting production processes, and ensuring that technology aligns with business goals. The IT Manager also oversees the IT Team, collaborates with other departments, and is accountable for the security, reliability, and efficiency of all IT operations.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide management and oversight over the IT Budget, to include preparation of budget and monthly checking spending versus budget in various areas, responsible for annual spending within agreed-upon budget.
  • Provide management and oversight over IT vendors/contractors who are assigned specific IT related tasks within the plant.
  • Ensure proper data management practices, including data backup, archiving and retrieval. Provide IT reports to management and senior management staff which outline key metrics and system performance.
  • Responsible for IT infrastructure, oversee the maintenance, monitoring, and upgrading of the company’s infrastructure, including servers, networks, hardware and software. Ensure all systems are up-to-date and function efficiently.
  • IT Security and Compliance; develop and implement IT security policies and protocols to protect sensitive data and systems. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, especially those relevant to the automotive industry.
  • Manage and mentor the IT team, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations. Create a collaborative and results-driven team.
  • Develop and maintain business continuity and disaster recovery plans to ensure IT resilience in the event of an emergency or system failure.
  • Strategic IT Planning which includes collaboration with senior management to align IT strategy with current and future business processes. Identify opportunities for technology-driven process improvements and efficiencies while being cost conscious.
  • Maintains the highest level of discretion and confidentiality.
  • Commit to continual improvement of the environment through SSA’s suggestion program, protecting the environment and improving our environmental performance by supporting our environmental management system’s targets and objectives.
  • Comply with all federal, state, and local environmental laws, regulations and relevant compliance obligations related to the environmental aspects of SSA.
  • Comply with SSA’s Zero Emissions program.
  • Agree to prevent injury incidents by observing established working rules, following the directions of managers/supervisors, practicing the principles taught in safety training and providing ideas so our safety management system is improved continuously.
  • Comply with all federal, state, and local occupational health and safety laws, regulations and relevant compliance obligations related to the occupational health and safety aspects of SSA.
  • Comply with all other relevant employment laws and regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.
  • 10 years of advanced IT support/administration experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, networks, and systems relevant to manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of IT security best practices and compliance requirements for the automotive industry.
  • Experience with IT project management and leading IT teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to managing IT challenges.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
