Python Software Engineer (New Grad and Students)
Position Overview
We are seeking skilled programers on a contract basis to generate high-quality python code samples.
Key Responsibilities
- Create diverse, well-structured python code samples
- Resolving git and GitHub-related issues on open-source projects
- Diagnosing and fixing merge conflicts, branching problems, and repository errors
- Reviewing and implementing pull requests to address codebase issues
- Implementing bug fixes
- Provide clear comments and documentation within code
- Develop code that demonstrates best practices and follows industry standards
Required Qualifications
- Strong coding skills in Python
- Undergrad degree completed or in-progress in relevant field (computer science, data science, statistics)
- Internship or full-time experience from a reputable technology company (big tech, Fortune 50, quant finance)
- Deep understanding of software development principles and design patterns
- Ability to write clean, efficient, and maintainable code
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Strong familiarity with git and GitHub
- Based in the US or Canada
Preferred Qualifications
- Contribution to open-source projects
Contract Details
- Fully remote work
- Timing flexible 5-20 hours of work per week
- Pay: $30-60 USD/ hour
