Pioneer Cabinetry, located in Davison, MI, is seeking a highly skilled Microvellum Engineer / Software Developer to support and enhance our cabinet manufacturing operations. This position plays a critical role in creating and maintaining engineering databases, automating design-to-production workflows, and developing software solutions that integrate with CNC equipment, and CAD/CAM systems, and ERP/MRP platforms. The ideal candidate will possess both software development expertise and in-depth knowledge of woodworking manufacturing processes, with a strong emphasis on Microvellum-based engineering.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build, configure, and maintain Microvellum product libraries, rules, and parametric construction methods.
  • Develop and optimize software tools that automate engineering and production tasks, reducing manual labor and error.
  • Collaborate with design, engineering, and production teams to ensure accurate and efficient design-to-manufacturing workflows.
  • Integrate Microvellum with CAD/CAM systems, CNC machinery, and ERP/MRP software.
  • Write and maintain custom scripts, macros, and extensions to support advanced engineering needs.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues within Microvellum, AutoCAD, and related software platforms.
  • Work closely with customer service agents to ensure smooth data flow and software compatibility across systems.
  • Document development processes, product library updates, and workflow improvements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Hands-on experience with Microvellum, AutoCAD, and related cabinet design/manufacturing software such as Cabinet Vision and 2020.
  • Proficiency in programming and scripting languages such as VBA, C#, .NET, SQL, or similar.
  • Familiarity with CNC machinery, cabinet construction methods, and woodworking manufacturing processes.
  • Experience integrating software systems with ERP/MRP platforms.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical teams.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $57,298.95 - $69,005.19 per year
