Job Title : Networking Analyst

Location : San Francisco/Sacramento/ Pleasanton/ Rocklin, CA

Duration : Long Term Contract (Contract to Hire)

Summary/Objective

The store network analyst position is responsible for coordinating and managing the installation of network service and software for The analyst assesses the network needs for new stores, store remodels, store closures and problems resolution. The analyst will work with the Global Store Technology team for all new store, remodels and closures to determine requirements for each store. The analyst will also work on other essential duties related to store information.

Essential Functions

• Working with Global Store Technology evaluates the requirements for all store projects to provides costs and timelines for installation, places orders for network circuits and equipment required for the store.
• Works with Store Project Managers and General Contractors to coordinate installation with vendors and technicians.
• Works closely with vendors to order, track and coordinates the installation of circuits and networking hardware.
• Manage, administer and configure network devices whilst communicating with an onsite technician
• Coordinates moves, adds and changes of store networking equipment.
• Maintains various records, directories, logs and files as it pertains to stores and network devices.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Hours of work are Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week. On-Call rotation of one week with 24-hour-a-day coverage

Required Education and Experience

• Completion of a technical program in electronic technology, networking or computer science.
• 2 years of experience as an analyst or similar position.
• Experience with network circuit and vendors, routing devices and software, IP / DNS configuration.
• Working in a Retail environment

Preferred Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree.

1. Several stores are to be opened and closed and based on this one has to install new store, allotting and taking back IP addressing (Pingable), changing IP addressesSomeone who can take phone calls (preferrably between 6 AM- 9 PM) and troubleshoot problems over it.

2. Ordering a circuit - (vendors like Megatel for cable, DSL, wireless equipments) and implement in stores. Managing and implementing the circuit experience is required.

3. Network Administration skills.

4. Good customer service skills

5. Reasonable amount of tech skills + Network Admin skills

6. Examples: problems like fixing a phone system (checking DNS, subnet mask , gateway etc)

Understanding of circuit types: 91 circuit Vs Ethernet Vs cable circuit (Which one works faster)

7. Network analyst will act as a bridge between Server and Cash register people and support network teams in resolving the problem.

8. Network Tools familiarity (Good to have) : Meraki, Viptella (cisco) , Software defined networking.

9. Good to see Solarwind and Nagios for Monitoring

10. Limited travel to stores are required

11. Preferred locations: Pleasanton, Rocklin, Sacramento.

12. Full time conversion is possible in future.

Pay: $30.00 - $50.00 per hour
