Full Time Mid-Level Software Developer/Data Scientist | Hybrid to Hagerstown, MD

This role is ideal for a technically skilled, mission-driven professional who thrives at the intersection of software development, data science, and healthcare innovation. You’ll collaborate with clinical, operational, and technical teams to design solutions that are both scalable and meaningful.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop software tools and analytics platforms to support clinical and operational decision-making
Use data science techniques to identify trends, predict outcomes, and inform population health strategies
Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business and clinical needs into technical solutions
Write clean, maintainable code using languages such as C#, JavaScript (React/Redux), and Python (pandas, NumPy, etc.)
Develop and optimize SQL queries and data pipelines for reporting and analysis
Participate in Epic certification training and maintain credentials (Clarity, Caboodle, or similar)
Contribute to system sustainability by improving workflows, reducing inefficiencies, and supporting financial stewardship

Minimum Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Processing, Information Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field required
Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
Experience
Minimum of one year of experience with SQL and software development required
Experience with healthcare technology preferred
Familiarity with programming languages such as C#, JavaScript (React/Redux), and Python (pandas) preferred
Licensure/Certification
Current Epic certifications (Clarity, Caboodle, or similar) preferred
If not certified, must attend Epic training and obtain certification within 60 days of program completion
All required training must be completed within 90 days of hire; probationary period may be extended if needed
Certifications must be maintained and kept current
Additional Requirements
Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship
Corp-to-Corp (C2C) arrangements are not accepted for this role
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Ability to conceptualize applications from both technical and business perspectives
Strong programming skills and familiarity with common frameworks
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment
