Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Linux System/Database Administrator to manage and support Linux servers, databases (Progress and SQL Server), web servers, and web application servers. This role is critical to maintaining the stability, security, and performance of our enterprise infrastructure and business applications.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems (MIS), or a related field (OR)
- Three years experience in Linux system administration and database management.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Linux Server Administration
- Monitor and maintain Linux servers to ensure system stability, performance, and uptime.
- Develop and maintain Bash scripts to automate administrative tasks, including system maintenance and backups.
2. Database Management & Development
- Design, modify, and maintain database structures (tables, indexes, constraints).
- Manage user access, roles, and permissions in accordance with security best practices.
3. Storage Infrastructure Management
- Administer NetApp storage systems, including provisioning, capacity planning, performance tuning, and issue resolution.
4. Application Support
- Support and maintain proprietary business applications.
- Collaborate with users to troubleshoot issues, apply updates, and optimize application performance.
5. Disaster Recovery & Data Protection
- Implement, maintain, and routinely test disaster recovery procedures.
- Ensure backup and recovery strategies align with business continuity and compliance standards.
6. Documentation & Compliance
- Create and maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, procedures, and changes.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $82,368.00 - $108,576.00 per year
