Job description
Software Developer
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and adaptable software developer with a strong foundation in C-type and JavaScript-type languages, and an eagerness to expand into specialized or less common languages. This is a dynamic in-person position that offers both collaborative and independent work, with opportunities for ongoing paid training and professional growth.
You will split your time between two primary focus areas:
- ERP System Development
Our in-house enterprise resource planning (ERP) system supports all core business functions—from invoicing to inventory tracking. Built in 4D ORDA (Object–Relational Data Access), it offers a familiar environment for developers experienced in object-oriented languages like JavaScript. You’ll work closely with the senior developer and project manager who originally designed and implemented the system.
- Hardware Control Software Development
The second half of your role involves programming for air pollution monitoring hardware using IDEC’s WindLDR Structured Text Script. This language, similar to other C-type procedural/object-oriented languages, enables complex automation functionality. You’ll collaborate with hardware engineers who use WindLDR’s graphical PLC programming tools and will rely on you for advanced scripting and customization.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain applications using 4D ORDA and WindLDR Structured Text Script
- Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and operations teams to support process automation and system integration
- Debug, test, and optimize code to ensure reliability and performance
- Create and maintain technical documentation for developed software and systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent practical experience)
- Proven experience with C-type and JavaScript-type programming languages
- Ability to learn and adapt to new languages and technologies quickly
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work both independently and within a team
What We Offer
- Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package
- Ongoing paid training and professional development opportunities
- Hands-on experience with advanced automation and control technologies
- Clear pathways for career advancement within the organization
