We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Database Administrator to join our team at the Case Alumni Association and Case Alumni Foundation. This role is a unique opportunity to leverage your skills and passion for data to make a tangible impact on our organization and the communities we serve. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of data management and analytics, with a particular focus on donor data. You will be responsible for managing and optimizing our Blackbaud databases, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and effectiveness. With an eye for detail and a knack for problem-solving, you will play a crucial role in helping us cultivate meaningful relationships with our donors and maximize our fundraising efforts.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain our Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge NXT database, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
- Working with our student relations and stewardship staff, manage and maintain our Blackbaud Awards Management database.
- Working with the Chief Financial Officer, act as a backup for our Blackbaud Financial Edge NXT database.
- Implement data management best practices and strategies to optimize database functionality and performance.
- Conduct regular audits of donor data to identify and rectify any discrepancies or errors.
- Generate and analyze donor data reports, providing insights and recommendations to inform fundraising strategies.
- Collaborate with development and alumni engagement teams to ensure seamless data integration and alignment with organizational goals.
- Assist in the development and implementation of data collection and reporting protocols.
- Provide training and support to team members on data management systems and practices.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in donor data management.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in data management, preferably in the nonprofit industry.
- Proficiency in Blackbaud software or equivalent donor database management systems.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Solid understanding of data management principles and best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and rectify data discrepancies and errors.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively train and support team members.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a high degree of precision.
- Self-motivated with a strong sense of initiative and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
