IT Systems Administrator
Location: Nashville, TN
Job Type: Full-Time | 40 hours per week | Onsite (No Remote Work)
Schedule: Tuesday – Saturday | 8:00AM – 5:00PM
Pay: Starting at $90,000
Casa Loma College is seeking to hire a dynamic and forward-thinking IT Systems Administrator to join our Nashville campus. This hybrid role blends hands-on IT support with advanced systems administration and infrastructure maintenance—perfect for professionals eager to drive innovation in a modern, cloud-first environment. RESPONSIBILITIES
As a strategic member of our IT team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the reliability, security, and modernization of technology operations across our multi-campus network, including Nashville, Los Angeles, and Aurora.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Daily Operations & End-User Support
- Provide first, second & third level technical support for end-users, including troubleshooting, password resets, onboarding/offboarding, and access requests.
- Support faculty and staff both onsite and remotely, ensuring professional and timely incident resolution.
- Assist with hardware lifecycle management, including workstation builds, Autopilot imaging, inventory labeling, and deployment.
Systems & Cloud Administration
- Conduct daily health checks, monitoring event logs, replication, backups, and disk capacity of our systems.
- Monitor and manage the Microsoft 365 Admin Center for service health and message center updates.
- Review Microsoft Defender alerts and quarantined messages for security threats.
- Utilize the Cisco Meraki Dashboard to oversee firewalls, switches, and access points.
- Manage and test backups using various backup solutions.
- Design, administer and troubleshoot Microsoft Entra ID (Azure Active Directory, Azure Resource Groups, etc.) Intune, and related enterprise applications.
- Oversee Microsoft 365 Admin Dashboards such as Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive, as well as Microsoft Purview for data loss prevention and compliance.
- Maintain Microsoft License Management and optimize allocations.
Projects & Modernization Initiatives
- Support college-wide initiatives such as migration to a cloud-first identity and Intune-only device management.
- As needed, take part in after-hours maintenance, planned upgrades, and emergency responses.
- Collaborate with remote IT teams in Los Angeles and Aurora to implement standardized solutions and best practices.
Security, Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure full HIPAA compliance across all systems and workflows.
- Administer Endpoint Security and enforce encryption and compliance policies.
- Support patch management and vulnerability remediation efforts.
- Maintain thorough documentation of system configurations, operating procedures, and change logs.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
Work Experience
- Minimum 4 years of experience in IT support and systems administration.
Required Skills
- 2+ years’ experience and proficiency in the following applications & systems:
- Microsoft 365 (Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Admin Center)
- Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD, Conditional Access)
- Intune Endpoint Management (Autopilot, configuration profiles)
- Enterprise backup solutions
Preferred Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Master’s degree in a related field is a plus.
- 2+ years’ experience working in HIPAA-regulated or compliance-driven environments.
- Microsoft Certifications: (Azure Administrator Associate, Microsoft 365 Administrator, Microsoft Intune Administrator, Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals)
- Cisco Meraki experience
- Microsoft Defender (Endpoint and Email security, alert remediation)
- CompTIA Network+ or CompTIA Security+ certification
- ITIL Foundation (for IT service management best practices) certifications
- Experience with: Microsoft Purview (Compliance, DLP, Audit)
- Experience with RingCentral UC system administration and PowerShell scripting and automation
